LCT's STAGES ACADEMY
YOUTH THEATRE PROGRAM

LCT's Stages is a student driven youth program that enables students ages 8 - 18

to learn about and experience all areas of theatre both onstage and behind the scenes.

The program is segmented into two age groups for monthly theatre workshops

but will work together on Stages productions.

Our Stages Kids group (ages 8-11) meet from 6-8pm on the second Tuesday of every month

while our Stages Junior group (ages 12-18) meets from 6-8pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

This year the first Stages Kids meeting will be Tuesday, September 12.

The first meeting for Stages Junior will be the following Tuesday, September 19.

Stages members are given the opportunity to take part in all aspects of theatre

such as the Youth Committee administration, meetings, workshops and education, acting,

behind the scenes work including onstage production, tech crew, make up and costumes

and even front of house operations. Participation in the Stages program provides youths

with hands-on experience that can assist them in adult endeavors

all while building a love for the arts.

Join us and see what this program is all about!

When Elle's boyfriend, Warner, dumps her and heads to Harvard, claiming she's not "serious" enough, Elle takes matters into her own hands, crafting a showy song-and-dance personal essay and charming her way into law school. Befriending classmate, Emmett, and spunky hairdresser, Paulette, along the way, Elle finds that books and looks aren't mutually exclusive. As Elle begins outsmarting her peers, she realizes that law may be her natural calling after all.
