Guys And Dolls Jr

book by Abe Burrows & Jo Swerling

He had the horse right here, but all she wanted was his love!

Witness Guys & Dolls Jr, based on a true classic that many have touted as the perfect musical comedy, presented in a style that is at once fresh, new and exciting while still holding on to what makes this show great.
See good old, reliable Nathan Detroit, as he tries to find the cash to set up the biggest crap game in town while the authorities breathe down his neck. Observe with pity and pathos as his girlfriend and nightclub performer, Adelaide, as she laments that they've been engaged for fourteen years without ever getting married. Thrill with delight as Nathan turns to fellow gambler, Sky Masterson, for the dough, only for Sky to end up chasing the straight-laced missionary, Sarah Brown. Guys and Dolls JR. takes us from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, but everyone eventually ends up right where they belong.

LCT's Horizon School of Performing Arts is offering a 4 week Musical Theatre Intensive this summer. Does your child have a passion for Musical Theatre and wants to pursue it in higher education and as a career? This experience is meant to give high school students, ages 13-18,  a look into what a collegiate musical theatre experience is like.

Our curriculum is centered around a full scale production of a musical. Unlike other programs, students will have the opportunity to work with regional collegiate professors and gain a better understanding of the quality of training they will receive in collegiate musical theatre programs. Our program prepares students for the rigor of being a college student and what it's like to be a musical theatre major. Students will also have the opportunity to be cast alongside regional adult seasoned artists with professional experience.

This year, we are excited to be bringing in a Special Broadway Guest Artist to lead a vocal masterclass for students and provide a special one-night only concert. Artist will be revealed closer to the start of the intensive.

The Summer 2022 intensive production will be Freaky Friday the Musical. This will be the premiere performance of this show in our region.
