The Illusion of Unarmed Violence:

Intro to Unarmed stage combat

10AM-12 PM  

Students will practice staging strikes like a slap or a punch, stage falls proper partnering techniques and safety protocols.

Intro to Knife Stage Combat

We should know no one wins a stabbing contest, but how can we make it look like someone does on stage? What if the director suddenly wants something else?  

So you want to do some Sword-Play? 

Intro to Single Sword on stage. 

3:30- 5:30 PM

Interested in shows like She Kills Monsters, the Three Musketeers, or just want to add something awesome to your arsenal? This class is for you. We’ll go over basic training techniques, attacks, and parries of swordplay necessary for performing fight choreography.

-Event is available for ages 16 and up. Under 18 requires parent/guardian signature upon arrival"

Instructor Bio: Justin M. Krall

Justin M. Krall is a theatrical fight director, stage combat instructor and stunt actor, playwright, divisor, and director. He is currently pursuing his MFA in Theatre Performance and Pedagogy at Texas Tech University and studied at Niagara University for his BFA in Theatre Performance. Justin is also a 1-year alum of Maling Shaolin Kung Fu Academy in China.  Justin is an apprentice with Fight Directors Canada, and Advanced Actor Combatant with FDC as well. Justin has trained in various martial arts and stage combat for 15 years.
