CAMP LCT is now enrolling for our first Summer Camp in our new location!!!!!!

Join a wide variety of professional teachers, actors, artists, and mentors that will have you performing and creating ALL summer long. Each half-day camp is only $65 for YAG members and $75 for the public. Children will present a showcase or art project at the end of every camp.  Class info is listed below. Email heatherm@lubbockcommunitytheatre.org if you have any questions. A two-week intensive is planned in July to bring Disney's The Descendants to the stage! Work alongside professionals as you put on this full-scale production. $250.00 for ages 12 and up. (With half-day options available for ages 7-12) Join winning UIL OAP Director, Zachary Kocurek-Gentry, in his UIL OAP Intensive for two weeks to hone your performance skills before heading back to the school year in August. $200.00 per student.

May 31-June 4

  • Theatre Production 101 9:00 AM-12:00 PM -From script to stage, students will write and produce a mini production and learn how to write, costume, and put up their own show! Ages 7-18 (will be grouped with similar ages) Teachers- Nicole Caddel and Heather May
  • WTDR Camp  1:00 PM-4:00 PM - Join elite members and teachers from West Texas Dancing Raiderettes and learn lyrical, hip hop, and modern dance techniques. Learn more about how you can join their competitive and performance team. Ages 7-18 (will be grouped with similar ages) Teacher - West Texas Dancing Raiderettes

June 7-11

  • Face OFF (Special FX and Stage Make-Up) 9:00 AM-12:00 PM - Mermaids, oozing sores, zombies, and fantastical creatures are all made here in this Special FX class. Students will get to play and dabble in make-up, hair, and prosthetics. Ending in a professional photoshoot to showcase the student's work. Ages 7-18 (will be grouped with similar ages) - Teacher- Jillian Johnstone
  • Printmaking 1:00-4:00 PM -Want to have fun while learning the tools of printmaking? Join us as we make a styrofoam and reduction print. Grades 3-5th. Art Show for viewing at end of the week. Teacher - Tina Saldana

June 14-18

  • Act Up! 9:00 AM-12:00 PM - Audition prep, monologue, and scene work. Get group and personal attention to improve your skills. Join us for an actors showcase at the end of the week. Ages 7-18 (will be grouped with similar ages) Teacher - Desirae Sarate
  • Filmmaking 101 1:00-4:00 PM -From script to screen! Students will write, cast, and film their short film projects. Attend the world premiere with a red carpet event! Ages 12-18. Teachers- Daniel Ballard & Jedidiah Martin

June 21-25

  • Don't Eat That! (Foodie Prop making) 9:00 AM -12:00 PM - Delve into the juicy world of prop making with this art camp aimed at creating delicious-looking fake food that can be used for theatre and film productions. Ages 10 and up. Teacher - Susan Brinkley
  • Improved! 1:00-4:00 PM Gain skills to think on your feet and have fun learning IMPROV. Join us for a "Whose Line is it Anyway" Game Show at the end of the week. Ages 7-18 (will be grouped with similar ages) Teacher - Desirea Sarate

June 28-July 2

  • Musical Theatre Voice 9:00 AM-12:00 PM -Not just your average Glee Club, join professional singer Alex Webster and get vocal training to prep for your next audition and performance. Students will showcase what they worked on at end of week recital. Ages 7-18 (will be grouped with similar ages)Teacher - Alex Webster
  • Musical Theatre Dance 1:00-4:00 PM - Get out your jazz, tap shoes, and tights! It's time to dance with Tamara. Learn basics and more advanced dance movements. Students will showcase what they worked on at end of week recital. Ages 7-18 (will be grouped with similar ages)Teacher- Tamara Klotzman

Students can choose to attend both camps for the week, but will need to bring a lunch for the break.

Students may be dropped off 15 mins before class begins and will need to be picked up within 15 mins of ending.

Youth Artist Guild Members get $10 off per class. It is $45.00 for the year to sign as a YAG member. Please use coupon code YAG at checkout! July 5th-Aug 1st DISNEY's DESCENDANTS! July Intensive with Travis and Annie Burge. This full-scale production will perform at LHUCA's Firehouse Theatre for our community. Students will be immersed in a two-week all-day intensive to bring this phenomenon for the FIRST time to Lubbock's Audiences. Performances will be  July 24-26 and  July  30-Aug 1. Ages 12 and up. (Half-day options for 7-12) $250 for a full day, $150.00 for a half-day. 9 AM-3 PM other than performances. Tickets will be available for purchase. July 26-Aug 8 UIL OAP Intensive by Zachery Kocurek-Gentry. This award-winning teacher is ready to get you in shape for this upcoming year's UIL One-Act Play competition. Work, Tell, Love in his two-week program to hone your performance skills and test your theatrical metal. Performances at LHUCA Firehouse Theatre. High school and entering freshman. July 26 - Aug 9 AM-3 PM other than performances. $200.00. Tickets will be available for purchase.
