The Lubbock Community Theatre was founded in 1989, but community theatre in Lubbock dates back to the early 1940's. Theatre has been an integral part of the Lubbock community since that time, and the Lubbock Community Theatre is permanently located at 4232 Boston Avenue.

The purpose of the Lubbock Community Theatre is to give a common meting ground to members of the Lubbock community, who share a love of theatre in all of its aspects. We have an active children's theatre program and strive to entertain, enlighten and educate all who attend our performances.

The arts play an important role in the Lubbock community, and in becoming a Co-Producer of a production at the theatre, your business or organization will become a partner with the Lubbock Community Theatre in offering the invaluable entertaining and educational experience of live theatre.

Our partnership will be extremely productive, since both your business or organization and the Lubbock Community Theatre are respected and well recognized in the community and a cooperative effort between the two would offer maximum publicity. Your company will receive tremendous corporate visibility in addition to community recognition for its role in supporting the arts in the Lubbock community.

Your business or organization will receive the following:

  1. Be listed as a co-producer for the production of your choice in the Lubbock Community Theatre's newsletter which is mailed throughout the Lubbock area to over 5,000 people.
  2. Have a 1/2 page black and white advertisement in ALL of the Lubbock Community Theatre's programs throughout the entire season.
  3. Be named as co-producer for the specific production in all print ads and radio/television promotions for that specific production.
  4. Have a sign in the lobby naming your organization or business as co-producer.
  5. Receive ten regular admission tickets for your specific production.
